Anita was the first woman to give her tapestries to the atelier. This clutch is cut from her work: coral and cabbage roses in apricot and pink, a lavender bloom, chartreuse leaves, all on a patchwork ground of periwinkle, sea glass, and deep green.
Lift the flap and the lining appears, a vintage Florida toile of palms in spring green. Closed with a gold turn-lock. Signed with the H.Rae brass plate.
Named for Anita, because this work began with her.
She worked with willing hands and set the work down. It is finished now, and made to be carried.
