Mary Miller Weaver stitched this tapestry in 1975. She was a Virginia nurse who collected needlepoint patterns from the places she traveled. She worked many of them in the passenger seat on weekend drives, with her Dalmatian, Mindy, beside her.
On the front, figs, plums, and ripe peaches spill across a sage ground. On the back, a pink ribbon bow ties the branch. Her initials and the year are stitched at the side, just as she left them. Lined in buttery purple leather and finished with a magenta leather strap and brass hardware. A thin dark brown leather crossbody strap comes with her too. The H.Rae brass plate sits inside.
