The Poppy in Orangerie

Oranges in full sun, their blossoms and leaves scattered across a deep navy ground. Orangerie was drawn from the needlepoint skirt I'm stitching, panel by panel, in The Long Stitch — so you can stitch something of the same world alongside the journey, at your own table, in your own hours. The orange blossom happens to be Florida's flower, which makes this one a little bit of home.

The Poppy is the smaller of the two silhouettes — a neat, structured shape that finishes to roughly 7" by 4", with a 2" by 36" strap. She arrives ready to stitch, printed on 13-mesh canvas, with finishing instructions tucked in — should you care to finish her yourself or hand her to the finisher of your choosing.

Choose the canvas on its own, or the complete kit, which pairs her with Appleton's wool in all eleven colors the design calls for.
